Charlie Cheng, Sr Product Support Associate, SAE ITC
Before joining SAE Technologies Consortia (SAE ITC) in January 2022, Cheng worked as a consultant to multi-national corporations, governments, and technology startups in the global automotive industry. Cheng now works in Operations, supporting SAE ITC programs to develop shared solutions to common industry challenges in mobility.
Cheng looks to the work of his brother, Jack, for inspiration. "My brother has authored, and self-published a few books," said Cheng. "His most recent work, The Many Masks of Andy Zhou, has many societal and cultural lessons for adults, including references to his family life." When looking at his role at SAE ITC, he sees parallels in his own work. "When you think about it, I’m doing my part to support a collective, societal dream of solving mobility challenges for all and the betterment of the planet," said Cheng.
Cheng’s origins stem a from childhood in Michigan and living as an expat family in Shanghai. Fluent in English and Mandarin, he spent significant time studying and learning in Shanghai before attending and receiving an economics degree from Michigan State University. Cheng enjoys learning about world history and emerging technology.
